Cowhouse Market

I sampled artisanal cheeses and fresh pastries from the food stalls. The kids had a blast with the water slide and jumping castle, while I also picked up a handmade wire craft as a souvenir.

Pro Tip:
Bring your bike if you want to explore the area further. The market is near a cycle track, and you can enjoy a ride before or after your visit.

Vegan Food Fair

For a more grounded experience, I recommend the Vegan Food Fair in Klitsgras on Garsfontein Road. It’s a welcoming place for those dedicated to a plant-based lifestyle, offering a variety of vegan cheeses, egg-free baked goods, and inventive cocktails.

I tried the dairy-free baked goods and bought several packs of vegan cheese to take home. I also found some beautiful cruelty-free cosmetics that made great gifts for friends.

Be sure to join the yoga and meditation session from 9 AM to 10 AM for a refreshing start to your day at the fair.

Kimiad Village Market

Consider visiting the Kimiad Golf Course while you’re at the market. It’s open to the public and features a par 40 layout, offering a great round of golf.
